What brought us to Japan?

Since Chris and I had mostly spent our relationship apart from each other, we had developed separate spiritual journey and experiences with God over those six years. He grew a lot in the Lord and in his calling in the Philippines and I also did while in Japan and we admit that distance has somehow created a gap between us in terms of doing ministry and even with some theological concepts.

We both know that we’re called to the Church mountain and if we’re going to do fulltime ministry for God’s will, we realize we need a common ground to grow together and catch up with each other spiritually. I’ve been praying and praying for God to open doors to unite us in all aspects for the sake of our marriage and His Kingdom work and HE DID!!! God miraculously worked in our hearts especially in Chris’. While struggling in our decision where to settle after marriage, God has spoken only one word to him and that is to pursue our marriage. Choosing our marriage means sacrificing the church, the family in Christ, he pastored for seven years and entrusting it to a pastor friend to live with me in Japan. As for me, I knew that God has given me the instruction to join the Awakening Asia School of Ministry (AASM) to be trained for the harvest in Asia.

After making the hardest decision in his life, God opened doors for him to live in Japan with me in May 2024. By that time, I’d already made the decision to quit my English teaching job for 5 years to pursue God’s calling initially with a training. Along the way, somehow we came to a decision guided by the Lord and leaders to do the ministry school together in Japan! This is the common ground that God has for us to grow together! He heard the cries and answered the fervent prayers! And now, Chris and I are both students training at AASM for evangelism and revival in Asia!!!

Japan is need of laborers!

Japan is one of the most unreached places in the world since only less than 5% of its population are professing Christians and less than 1% are evangelical according to the Joshua Project.

We believe that God has strategically sent and placed us in this season in Japan to be part of the workers of the harvest because truly it is ripe. What is missing in the picture are the laborers that are properly and healthily equipped for the labor. We are here to be trained and equipped on how to reach out our Japanese brothers and sisters with the gospel of the Kingdom.

Partner with GOD’s work in Japan through giving and intercession!
