Answering the call of God for training and mission work here in Japan is costly. We want to be as vulnerable and transparent as possible with those partnering with us in this call of God on behalf of the Japanese people.

As mentioned, Chris and I both left our full-time jobs to undergo training and discipleship to become pioneers of revival in Japan and Asia. The first year at the ministry school will last for 8 months. Despite our efforts to fundraise for his annual tuition fee of ¥500,000 (roughly $3,400 USD / ₱196,000 PHP), we haven’t been able to raise the full amount. So far, we have raised ¥183,000 (roughly $1,240 USD / ₱72,100 PHP).

Now, we are reaching out to you and offering an opportunity to invest in what God is doing in us and in Asia. We need to raise ¥317,000 (roughly $2,160 USD / ₱124,900 PHP) by August. The classes have already started, and we want to focus and not be distracted while being equipped at school, serving at Awakening Tokyo church, and doing outreaches.

As mentioned above, my husband and I have been in a long-distance relationship for a long time, even after getting married. We know God is using this school as our common ground to grow together, share the same identity in ministry, and receive a fresh, unified vision. We recognize that the beginning years of marriage are particularly vulnerable, so we want to protect ours by avoiding distractions and focusing on the purpose for which God has sent us: training and missions. Even if it’s possible to work after each school day to cover the expenses, it would forfeit the purpose of why we are here. If we did this, we could no longer focus on the many processes God will take us through during the training. Worse, our marriage would be at stake due to lack of time. Additionally, we are the first-ever couple to attend this ministry school together, which means we are role models for other students who will become future leaders of the move of God. We are aware of the spiritual warfare we will face for answering God’s call in this foreign land, but we stand on God’s promise:

“Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” (Psalm 2:8)

We want to open the opportunity for you to invest in us and/or the harvest in Asia! I believe that whatever is sown is as if you are going with us, praying with us when I pray for someone and share the gospel in church or on the streets, or worshiping with us when we are with believers in Asia.
